While she competed in a variety of sports throughout her schooling and college years, it wasn't until later when Taft decided to concentrate on broadcasting. Following her graduation with a bachelor's master's degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University Taft embarked her career at Fox Sports North as a sideline reporter and regional affiliate. Apart from covering sports she was also a social media contributor and also as a host for many games. She was soon transferred into Fox Sports 1 News and Highlights. Taft worked for FS1 and covered many notable title. The reporter reported on these occasions in the air. As a journalist for the sidelines of college football, Taft was promoted to the position of chief college football reporter alongside Gus Johnson. As of 2018, her claim to fame was that she was called upon to be moderator for the cult TV series Skip and Shannon Undisputed the post that she still holds to this day. In addition, she hosted her own program CFB: Inside Slant, and was the pit reporter on the Discovery Series Battlebots.
